This is believed to be the first Wilmer, Alabama, farmstead home of N.B. "Bonie" Pierce (1880-1964) and Julia L. Moody (1886-1965) after their marriage in 1902. That would make the baby in the chair Ina Mae Pierce (1903-1977), their first-born.
Although small, the house appears neat, clean and comfortable, a nice place to begin raising a family.

This is a nice photo. For some reason, it almost looks Western to me, instead of Southern. Maybe it's the roof? I haven't heard much about the Pierce side of your family and am glad to meet them. Makes me wonder if we do have any family pictures of homes...a very good question. We have photos of homes about 100 years after our family stopped living in them, but . . . oh, yes! We have a 1911 photo with about 100 kith and kin on the porch steps. Thank you for posing this question. I appreciate it.
