Napoleon Bonaparte "Bonie" Pierce (1880-1964) and Julia Lavinia Moody (1886-1965) posed for this photo on what was probably their wedding day, October 8, 1902. The pose is typical of wedding photos. The couple was married in the Wilmer Methodist Church, Wilmer, Alabama.
Hi Ralph,
ReplyDeleteI am also kin to the Pierce's & I am very thankful that you have this posted.
I too am a descendant of Lewis Monroe Pierce thru his 1st marriage to Sarah Stringfellow, Napoleon Bonaparte Pierce was a 1st cousin of my great grandfather Chesley Pierce, Chesley was a son of James Pierce who as i said earlier was a son of Lewis Monroe Pierce and Sarah Stringfellow. This is a marvelous site and i am glad you have started it
ReplyDeletePaula and Cep,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your kind comments. I hope you find the postings useful.
I just love this photo! My middle son, Jonathan McKeough Croxton, has Paw Paw Pierce's facial bone structure. It is actually quite remarkable to see how much they look alike.
ReplyDeleteThis is just a great idea and site. Thanks for getting this together, Ralphie.
I'll send photos to you when I get them together.
Thanks, Judy. I look forward to seeing the photos and I'd be happy to post them.
ReplyDeleteHi Ralph,
